OWENS DITCHES PORT AND IS POISED TO SIGN FOR MANSFIELD

Want away Andy Owens is poised to sign for Mansfield Town today. Liam Watson has been unimpressed  by the way Andy Owens has conducted affairs since the end of the season. Owens joins the Stags after one season at Haig Avenue with Watson stating that he expects negotiations on settling a deal to be held in the next twenty four hours with a tribunal looming if both clubs cannot come to an agreement for the ex Accrington Stanley player.

Liam Watson said "I am hopeful we can come to an agreement between the two clubs. However we can opt for a tribunal if we cannot. We have had offers from clubs for Andy  so we have some idea of value in the market. I have to say with our player development record I have been very disappointed by the way Andy has conducted himself since the end of the season. We move on with a stronger squad than last season and he has joined a club that is in the same league, I am not sure how that kicks his career forward."
