POKU IN FOR PORT

Godfrey Poku returns to the Port squad tomorrow against AFC Telford after Liam Watson secured the ex Luton midfielder on a season long loan from Mansfield Town. Liam Watson secured the loan deal this afternoon with Stags boss Paul Cox.

Godfrey Poku established himself as a firm favourite at Haig Avenue last season after coming in on loan as part of the package when John Paul Kissock transferred to Luton. In the summer Poku signed for the Stags from Luton, however surprisingly he had not made the Mansfield squad in the opening five Blue Square Bet Premier matches alerting Liam Watson to a possible move before the transfer window.

Liam Watson said “We all know Godfrey's style, determination and desire. He is a great signing for us and adds massive competition in the middle of the park. Everyone at Haig Avenue will be delighted to have Godfrey back.”
